Walk the Moon tickets & concert schedule

Walk the Moon’s history begins in 2006, when Nicholas William Petricca (vocals, keyboards), picked a group of musicians and created the rock group, in Cincinnati, Ohio. After several changes to the formation, the line-up which finished their first album was apart from Petricca, guitarist Chris Robinson, bassist Kevin Colter Ray and drummer Sean Byron Waugaman.

“I want! I want!” came out in November of 2010, with the song “Anna Sun” to separate. They performed live including a tour with Kaiser Chiefs and Young the Giant, while Eli Brose Maiman took Robinson’s place in 2011. After making a contract with a bigger label, the group recorded their second album, the synonymous “Walk the Moon”, which came out in the summer of 2012 and managed to enter the US album chart (no. 36). It also contained “Anna Sun”, along with the song “Tightrope”. They continued the live appearances, while they opened for bands like Fun and Panic! At the Disco.

The group’s third album was “Talking Is Hard”, which came out in November of 2014 and reached the top of the Alternative Albums chart, peaking at no. 14 on the Billboard 200. The album which became Platinum, includes the hit “Shut Up and Dance”, that entered the top 5 in many countries’ charts (no. 4 in the USA). It became the Moon’s most popular song and they played it live in many concerts and TV shows. After their big success, Walk the Moon took part in various live events, while they were nominated for three American Music Awards in 2015.

Walk the Moon’s third album “What If Nothing” came out three years after the previous one and it was followed by a tour, soon after its release. The group’s music style is something between indie pop and rock, with elements of various genres, such as pop rock and dance rock.
