Underøath tickets & concert schedule

Underoath started as a Christian and post-hardcore band with metalcore and other music elements and were created by Dallas Taylor (vocals) and Luke Morton (guitar), in 1997, in the city of Ocala, Florida. Aaron Gillespie (drums), Corey Steger (guitar) and Octavio Fernandez (bass) joined the group later and although they were still in high school they began performing in Florida.

The group’s first album was “Act of Depression” that came out in the summer of 1999. Morton had left the group before the recording of the album and Underoath recorded their second album with Matthew Clark on bass and Christopher Dudley on keyboards. “Cries of the Past” came out one year later and after two more changes to the formation, including the arrival of Timothy McTague (lead guitar), it was followed by “The Changing of Times” in 2002. During Warped Tour in 2003, Taylor left the group and Spencer Chamberlain became the new singer later, while Grant Brendell had become the new permanent bassist from 2002 and James Smith the new guitarist.

Underoath’s fourth album “They’re Only Chasing Safety” came out in 2004 and it was the first that entered at the US album charts. The album was characterized by its post-hardcore sound, with a lot of screamo elements. After a tour in 2005, the group began recording its fifth album “Define the Great Line” which came out in the summer of 2006 and managed to reach the second position of the US album charts. It is Underoath’s most successful album until nowadays and became gold later in the USA. They continued touring around the world and their next album “Lost in the Sound of Separation” came out in 2008, peaking at no. 8 on the charts.

Gillespie left the group in 2010, but the rest members continued with Daniel Davison on drums and recorded “Ø (Disambiguation)” which came out in November of 2010, reaching no. 23 on the charts. After the release of “Anthology: 1999-2013” and a tour in 2012, Underoath appeared live for last time at the beginning of 2013. They returned in 2015 along with Gillespie who came back and they performed again in 2016. Their last album is 2018’s “Erase Me”, which entered at no. 16 on the Billboard 200.
