Train tickets & concert schedule

Train’s history started in 1993 when Pat Monahan (vocals, percussion) and Rob Hotchkiss (rhythm guitar) decided to create a new rock band. The group’s first formation was completed with guitarist Jimmy Stafford, bassist Charlie Colin and drummer Scott Underwood in 1994. They released their first and homonymous album in 1998, with the songs “Meet Virginia” and “Free” to separate.

The group’s second album “Drops of Jupiter” came out in March of 2001 and it’s their best album until now. It reached the sixth position on the US album charts and became two times platinum in the USA, while the song “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” won two Grammy Awards. After the synonymous tour, Train recorded their third album “My Private Nation” which came out in the summer of 2003, after Hotchkiss left the group and reached also the sixth position on the charts, containing the song “Calling All Angels”. Colin also left the group later and Johnny Colt took his place, while keyboardist Brandon Bush became a new member too.

The next album was 2006’s “For Me, It’s You”, peaking at no. 10 on the charts and the group returned as a trio with Monahan, Stafford and Underwood, almost three years later. “Save Me, San Francisco” came out in October of 2009, reaching no. 17 on the album charts, including the hit “Hey, Soul Sister”. It was followed by 2012’s “California 37” with the participation of bassist Hector Maldonado and other musicians. It reached the fourth position on the charts, with the song “Drive By” to separate. They began “Mermaids of Alcatraz Tour” in the summer of 2013, with bands and artists like The Script and Gavin DeGraw and they released the album “Bulletproof Picasso” almost one year later, with Drew Shoals as the new drummer, since Underwood left the group a few months earlier. It peaked at no. 5 on the album charts, including the song “Angel in Blue Jeans”.

After the 2015’s Christmas album named “Christmas in Tahoe”, the group recorded “Train Does Led Zeppelin II” which contained covers of 1969’s “Led Zeppelin II” album and came out in June of 2016. Stafford left the group and Luis Maldonado became the new guitarist at the same year. Train’s tenth and most recent album is “A Girl, a Bottle, a Boat”, which came out in January of 2017 and managed to reach no. 8 on the Billboard 200.
