Three Days Grace were created by former members of a group called “Groundswell”, when they decided to reunited with a new name in 1997, in a small township named Norwood, in Ontario, Canada. The group’s members were Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Brad Walst (bass) and Neil Sanderson (drums, keyboards).

The new post-grunge and hard rock group, with alternative metal and rock elements, began spending the first years in writing songs and after having recorded their first demo, they went to Massachusetts, to deal with their first homonymous album, which came out in the summer of 2003. It entered at no. 69 on the Billboard 200 and also no. 9 in Canada, including the songs “I Hate Everything About You” and “Just Like You”. The group recruited Barry Stock (lead guitar) and continue touring, while the album became platinum in the USA and two times platinum in Canada.

After Gontier overcame his drug issues, Three Days Grace finished their second album named “One-X”, which came out in June of 2006 and peaked at no. 5 on the Billboard 200 (also no. 2 in Canada), with the songs, “Pain”, “Animal I Have Become” and “Never Too Late” to separate. The album became three times platinum and the group toured around USA and Canada, including live appearances with Breaking Benjamin and Seether. The next album was “Life Starts Now”, that came out in 2009 and managed to reach no. 3 on the USA album chart. It contains the songs “Break”, “World So Cold” and “The Good Life”. It was followed by “Transit of Venus” in 2012 (no. 5 on the US Billboard 200) and a few months later, Gontier abandoned the group, with his brother Matt, taking his place.

When Grace finished their tour in 2013, next to Shinedown and P.O.D., they started to record their next album, “Human, which came out in March of 2015. It peaked at no. 16 on charts and included the songs “Painkiller” and “I Am Machine”. The group’s most recent album is “Outsider”, that was released in the Spring of 2018, containing the songs “The Mountain” and “Infra-Red”.
