Third Eye Blind tickets & concert schedule

Third Eye Blind were created in 1993 in San Francisco, California when Stephan Jenkins (vocals, rhythm guitar) met Kevin Cadogan (lead guitar, keyboards, e.t.c.). After recording their first demo, along with Jason Slater (bass) and Adrian Burley (drums), there were a couple of changes in the band’s formation, including drummers Steve Bowman and Michael Urbano. Arion Salazar became the new bassist, being followed by drummer Brad Hargreaves in 1995.

The band’s first and homonymous album came out in April of 1997 and reached no. 25 on the Billboard 200 chart. It contained the hits “Semi-Charmed Life”, “Jumper” and “How’s It Going to Be”, while it became six times platinum in America. It was followed by 1999’s “Blue”, with the song “Never Let You Go” to separate. Cadogan was sacked in 2000 and Tony Fredianelli took his place. The band established its own studio in San Francisco and after the EP “Symphony of Decay”, Third Eye Blind recorded their next album. “Out of the Vein” came out in 2003 reaching no. 12 on the Billboard 200. Three years later, Salazar abandoned the group and the remaining members decided to continue with touring bassists, believing that he could change his mind.

After the release of the EP “Red Star”, Third Eye Blind recorded their fourth album “Ursa Major” which came out in the summer of 2009, peaking at the third position of the US album charts, their highest until now. The band confronted legal disputes with Fredianelli who was replaced by Kryz Reid in 2010. Alex LeCavalier became the new bassist in 2012 and Third Eye Blind’s fifth album “Dopamine” came out in the summer of 2015, entering at no. 13 on the charts.

Until 2019, the band has released another two EP’s, while Colin CreeV took Kopp’s place. Third Eye Blind’s music style is something between alternative rock and post-grunge, with a lot of pop-rock elements.
