Take That tickets & concert schedule

Take That is a boyband that was created by manager Nigel Martin-Smith. He first found Gary Barlow who has been selected as the lead singer and he was joined by Jason Orange, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams and Howard Donald. The pop group with dance and pop rock elements started from Manchester with the name “Kick It”, in 1990, but they change it to Take That.

The cover of Tavares’s “It Only Takes a Minute” was the group’s first success and along with “A Million Love Songs” and the cover of “Could It Be Magic”, were among the hits of their first album “Take That & Party” that came out in 1992 and peaked at no. 2 on the Official Charts in the UK. It was followed by “Everything Changes” in October of 1993, which topped the UK Albums chart and contained among its hits, the song “Pray”, the group's first song that reached the top of the UK charts. Take That had become popular and during the period 1994-1995 the group obtained many fans and made its impact in the world of media and marketing. They received their first MTV Europe Music Award for “Best Live Act” in 1995.

Take That’s next album was “Nobody Else” and was released in May of 1995 and reached also the first place on the UK Albums chart, including the top hits “Sure”, “Never Forget” and “Back for Good”, which was their only song entering in the USA charts. Williams later was forced to leave the group, because of his drug addiction and especially his jealous behavior. After their break up in 1996, the “Greatest Hits” album came out in March of that year, containing “How Deep Is Your Love”, a cover of Bee Gees’ song, which topped the UK chart.

In 2005, after the release of the successful “Never Forget - The Ultimate Collection", it became known later that year, that the group would return, starting from “The Ultimate Tour” in 2006. The first album after the reunion was “Beautiful World”, a commercial success that reached the top in the UK charts, with the hits, “Patience”, “Shine” and “I’d Wait for Life”. Take That toured around Europe and the next album “The Circus”, was released in late 2008, including the hits “Greatest Day” and “Said It All”.

Williams returned in 2010 and the original line-up recorded “Progress” that came out in November of that year and became a huge success. Take That won a BRIT Award for “Best British Group” and after the “Progress Live” tour, they returned to the studio in 2014, for their next album. Williams couldn't follow the group because he was expecting his second child, but he continued to work with his bandmates and to participate in various live shows in the following years. In 2014, Orange left the group and the three remaining members released “III”, their seventh album. It became their sixth album in a row, reaching the top of the charts, with the hit “These Days” to separate.

During the next years, Take That continued the live appearances, and they recorded one more successful studio album named “Wonderland”, that came out in 2017. Among the several awards that the group has received, are 8 BRIT Awards and 2 MTV Europe Music Awards.
