Rise Against tickets & concert schedule

Rise Against began as Transistor Revolt, by fellow musicians Dan Wleklinski (guitar) and Joe Principe (bass), in Chicago in 1999. They were joined by Tim Mcllrath (vocals), Kevin White (guitar) and Toni Tintari (drums), and the new punk rock group recorded their first EP in 2000, which led producer and musician Fat Mike to offer them their first contract. After they changed their name, White and Tintari left the group and Brandon Barnes became their new drummer.

The group’s first album was “the Unraveling” that came out in April of 2001. During their first tour, Wleklinski left the group because of his conflicts with Mcllrath. Phillip Hill replaced him for the rest of the tour and after a short return of White, Todd Mohney joined them later. The group’s second album named “Revolutions per Minute”, came out in 2003, but it was their next one, named “Swing Life Away” that entered the charts. The album, that featured the new member Chris Chasse, after Mohney abandoned the line-up, came out in August of 2005 and became gold later, with the songs “Give It All” and “Swing Life Away” to separate.

2006's “The Sufferer & the Witness” was more successful, peaking at the tenth position of the US charts. It contained the songs “The Good Left Undone” and “Prayer of the Refugee”. Rise Against continued with the “The Sufferer & the Witness Tour” which was completed with one more change to the formation, since Chasse was replaced by Zach Blair. The group began gaining international fame with the release of “Appeal to Reason” in 2008. This melodic hardcore record reached the third place on the charts, including the hits “Savior” and “Re-Education”.

After a few EPs, the group recorded “Endgame” that came out in 2011 and became no. 2 in the USA, which is the group’s higher position. It contained the songs “Help Is on the Way” and “Make It Stop (September's Children)”. After the album’s release, the group toured around the world, next to bands like Foo Fighters (as support), Flogging Molly, A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon and others. Rise Against released two more studio albums and two compilations in the following years.
