Ra Ra Riot tickets & concert schedule

Ra Ra Riot’s history started in 2006 in New York when several musicians from Syracuse University began performing in various small venues around the campus. The original members were Wes Miles (vocals), Mathieu Santos (bass, vocals, et.c.), Milo Bonacci (guitar), John Ryan Pike (drums), Rebecca Zeller (violin) and Alexandra Lawn (cello, keyboards, e.t.c.). After their first demo, Ra Ra Riot started to gain fans through the group’s live appearances.

The indie rock group with elements of baroque pop relocated to New York City and toured next to bands like Editors, while they recorded their first homonymous EP which came out in the summer of 2007. A month earlier Pike who had been disappeared was found dead and the remaining members decided to continue, changing a few drummers until the arrival of Kenny Bernard in 2011. Ra Ra Riot’s first album was “The Rhumb Line” which came out in August of 2008 and was followed by the EP “Can You Tell” in 2009. 2010’s album “The Orchard” peaked at no. 36 on the Billboard 200 (the group’s highest) and at no. 6 on the US Alternative Albums chart. It won a nomination at the Independent Music Awards of 2011 in the category of best “Pop/Rock Album”.

Lawn left the group in February of 2012 and Ra Ra Riot’s next album “Beta Love” contained a sound with more synthpop style. It came out at the beginning of 2013 and reached no. 69 on the US album charts. They returned in 2016 with “Need Your Light”, while their most recent releases are the singles “This Time of Year” which was released in October of 2018 and 2019’s “Bad to Worse”.
