Muse tickets & concert schedule

Muse's history started, when Matt Bellamy joined Dominic Howard's (drums) band as a singer, while they were studying in Teignmouth, in the English county of Devon, in 1994. The band was called Gothic Plague and later, drummer Chris Wolstenholme joined them and began learning the bass. After they won a small contest performing as Rocket Baby Dolls, they changed it to Muse and began building their name.

They released their first self-titled EP in May 1998, which was followed by "Muscle Museum" in early 1999. The latest was noticed by the British media, but the band's first contract was made in the USA. After the group returned to England they recorded their debut album "Showbiz" that came out in September of 1999. "Origin of Symmetry", the band's second album, was released in the summer of 2001 and contained sounds from keyboard instruments. It was very successful in Britain, containing the songs "Plug In Baby" and "New Born". They released later a compilation album, under the name "Hullabaloo" which also included live videos and a documentary from the band's tour, that was followed by a synonymous soundtrack, with live recordings and B-sides.

The next album "Absolution", came out in 2003. It reached the top in the UK charts and among its hits is the song "Time Is Running Out" which was their first entering the top 10 on the UK Singles chart. It became gold in the USA and was followed by a worldwide tour. The band gained two MTV Europe Awards and a BRIT Award for "Best British Live Act". The album "Black Holes and Revelations" came out in 2006 and became no. 1 in several countries, including the UK. It has politicized content like the previous two, but its style is different (progressive and space rock sound elements). One of its hits, "Supermassive Black Hole " became Muse's most successful single in the UK, reaching at no. 4 on the charts.

Muse continued touring around the world, while their fifth album "The Resistance", came out in 2009, reaching the top not only in the UK but also in many other countries. It won the band's first Grammy Award for "Best Rock Album" in 2011. Among the album's hits is "Uprising" which became one of their most popular songs. Muse's successes were continued, with the release of "The 2nd Law" in 2012. The album contains different styles of rock music with electronica elements. It reached the top of the charts in more than 10 countries, including the UK and (no. 2 in the USA). It was followed by "Live at Rome Olympic Stadium" live album in late 2013.

In the following years, Muse recorded two more albums. "Drones", came out in 2015 and topped the UK and USA charts, with the song "Dead Inside" to separate. Over three years later, their eighth studio album named "Simulation Theory" came out, with a strong element of pop culture and science fiction.
