Maren Morris was born in 1990 in Arlington, Texas and she obtained her first guitar when she became twelve. Her first three albums were released by minor labels. The first record was 2005’s “Walk On” and was followed by “All That It Takes” two years later. After she finished her studies in North Texas, she continued with the release of the album “Live Wire” in September of 2011.

In 2012, Morris decided to deal with songwriting. She moved to Nashville and wrote songs for famous artists such as Tim McGraw and Kelly Clarkson, while she toured in the USA and in Europe next to other country musicians. The single “My Church” from her first major label album named “Hero” won a Grammy Award in 2017. The album came out in the summer of 2016, reaching the first place on the Top Country Albums chart, while it entered the top 5 on the Billboard 200. Morris toured in order to promote her album and collaborated with Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan later, whom she followed on his tour in 2018. She also worked with Zedd and the duo Grey on the hit “The Middle”, which reached the fifth position on the Billboard Hot 100 that year.

Morris is regarded as a country pop artist but she has collaborated with groups and musicians of various music styles, while she is the country artist with the most award nominations until now! Her most recent album is “Girl”, which came out in March of 2019. It topped the US Country album chart again and peaked at no. 4 on the Billboard 200.
