Korn tickets & concert schedule

Korn were created by three former members of the group L.A.P.D., guitarist James Christian Shaffer (known as “Munky”), bassist Reginald Quincy Arvizu (“Fieldy”) and drummer David Randall Silveria. After recruiting vocalist Jonathan Howsmon Davis (or JD) and guitarist Brian Philip Welch (“Head”), they chose the name Korn, in 1993, in Bakersfield, California.

The nu metal band recorded their homonymous album that came out in October of 1994. They began touring and took part in Ozzy Osbourne’s tour, next to Deftones. Their second album named “Life Is Peachy”, entered at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was followed by “Follow the Leader”, which included collaborations with Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst and other and it’s the band’s most successful album, since it reached no. 1 on the Billboard 200 (it reached the top also three more countries) and no. 5 on the UK Albums chart. The album became five times platinum and among its hits are the songs “Freak on a Leash”, which won the “Best Short Form Music Video” Grammy Award (and other two MTV Video Music Awards), and “Got the Life”.

The next album, “Issues” in 1999, reached also no. 1 on the US album chart, with the songs “Falling Away from Me” and “Make Me Bad” to separate, becoming three times platinum. After this success, Korn made a live appearance at Apollo Theater in New York and continued with a promotion tour. Korn released another two successful studio albums and 2004’s “Greatest Hits, Vol. 1”, until Welch’s decision to leave the band, duo to his problems with drug addiction. Corn’s seventh album “See You on the Other Side” (no. 3 on the Billboard 200) in late 2005, was the last one with Silveria on drums, who left the band in late 2006. Nethertheless, Korn took part in MTV Unplugged series in 2007 and their only album as a three-member band named “Untitled album” came out in the summer of that year, peaking at no. 2 on the US album charts.

After several changes to drummer’s position during their live shows, Korn hired Ray Luzier, with whom they have released four studio albums until 2016’s “The Serenity of Suffering”. In the meantime Welch returned in 2013 and has remained until now. Korn have toured with several great bands like the Cure, Deftones, Stone Sour, Disturbed and more, while they have collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Lil Jon, Skrillex and other.
