Jon Langston was born in 1991, in Loganville, a city in the state of Georgia. When he was young, he tried to become a football player but because of some injuries, he decided to begin a music career. His full name is Jonathan Thomas Langston and after he learned to play the guitar, he began writing his own songs and uploaded them in social media. His first live appearance took place in 2013 when he opened for Chase Rice during a show in Kennesaw, while he took part also in various country fests.
Langston’s first release was the EP “Runnin’ on Sunshine”, which included four songs, one of them was a collaboration with the also new artist Jordan Rager. It was followed by 2015’s “Showtime”, with another five new songs. It was the first EP which Langston released with a label company and it managed to enter the US country charts, peaking at number 26, while it entered at the top ten of the Top Heatseekers chart (no. 8). The homonymous EP “Jon Langston” came out in December of the same year. It reached the first place on the Top Heatseekers chart and contained also five songs.
Langston worked with the band Issues, for the release of the song “Yung and Dum” in 2016. Less than two years later he made a new contract and his next song was “When It Comes To Loving You” that became his second song entering the country charts.
Among Langston’s influences are artists and bands from various music genres, such as George Strait, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Lynyrd Skynard, even Staind and Guns N’ Roses!
