Jimmy Eat World tickets & concert schedule

Jimmy Eat World were created in Mesa, Arizona when friends Jim Adkins (vocals, lead guitar) and Zach Lind (drums) found guitarist Tom Linton and bassist Mitch Porter in 1993. Their first and homonymous album came out in the beginning of 1994 and was characterized by its pop-punk sound.

Before they make a new contract, Porter was replaced by Rick Burch and the band’s next album “Static Prevails” came out in the summer of 1996, with more emo and pop punk elements. It was followed by 1999’s “Clarity”, from which Adkins began having a major role behind vocals. Jimmy Eat World’s fourth album named “Bleed American” was the first that entered the US album charts, reaching no. 31 and including the hit “The Middle”. It came out in July of 2001 and became Platinum later. The band toured in order to promote the album and returned to the studio in 2004. “Futures” came out in October of that year, peaking at no. 6 on the US album charts, with the song “Pain” to separate.

Jimmy Eat World continued touring with bands like Taking Back Sunday and Green Day and recorded their sixth EP. Their sixth album “Chase This Light” came out in October of 2007 and reached the fifth position on the Billboard 200, which is the band’s highest. In the following years, Jimmy Eat World recorded another three studio albums. “Invented” came out in September of 2010 and peaked at no. 11 on the US album charts, including the song “My Best Theory”. It was followed by 2013’s “Damage” which reached no. 14 on the charts, while the band’s ninth album named “Integrity Blues”, came out in October of 2016.

Jimmy Eat World have also released three live albums and one compilation album, while their most recent recording was the single “Love Never / half heart", which came out in May of 2018.
