Jason Mraz tickets & concert schedule

Jason Mraz was born in 1977, in Mechanicsville, Virginia. His last name is Czech, because of his grandfather and his full name is Jason Thomas Mraz. When he was in High school, he had joined the school choir, the cheerleaders and the drama team, while he studied in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for about 1.5 year.

When he learned the guitar and started writing music, he went to Richmond, he worked for various jobs and he finally moved to San Diego. He then followed musician Michael Andrews in live appearances for about three years and he released a live album, under the name "Live at Java Joe's" in 2001. After signing with Elektra Records, he went to Los Angeles where he later toured as a support artist to Jewel. His first album, "Waiting for My Rocket to Come", came out in October of 2002, with the hit "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" reaching no. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was about a Mraz's friend who had cancer in high school. Less than3 years later, the album became platinum.

Mraz continued his live performances and in 2004, another one live album, named "Tonight, Not Again: Jason Mraz Live at the Eagles Ballroom" came out. "Mr. A-Z" was his next album, in July of 2005, which reached no. 5 on the Billboard 200 and won a Grammy nomination. A long time tour followed, including live appearances with bands and artists such as Alani Morissette, P.O.D., Live and more. His third album, "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." was released in 2008. Almost one year later, it became platinum, after peaking at no. 3 in the USA and Australia, while it entered the top 10 in a lot of countries. The hit "I'm Yours" was a big success, it reached no. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became no. 1 in many charts around the world.

In 2010, Mraz was awarded with two Grammys, the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Make It Mine" and the Best Pop Collaboration for "Lucky", along with Colbie Caillat. He continued with a worldwide tour and after a couple of collaborations, one new live album and two live EPs, his fourth studio album named "Love Is a Four Letter World", came out in 2012. It entered in the top 20 charts of 10 countries, while it reached no. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the song "I Won't Give Up" to separate. The album received a Grammy Award and Mraz became "Favorite Male Artist" in 39th People's Choice Awards.

"Yes" was Mraz's first acoustic album, featuring Raining Jane, a folk rock group and came out in May of 2014. Almost three years later, Mraz played in the musical "Waitress" as Dr. Pomatter. His sixth album, "Know", came out in the summer of 2018. He has also written the book "a thousand things", a collection of various photos and portraits.
