Interpol tickets & concert schedule

Interpol's history begins when Daniel Kessler met Greg Drudy at New York University and the latter helped him to find members in order to create a new rock band, in 1997. Drudy brought Carlos Dengler and Paul Banks to join them and the new band chose the name Interpol. They released the "Fukd ID # 3, their first E, in 2000, but later Sam Fogarino replaced Drudy.

The band continued recording for about three years, and after a new contract, they continued their homonymous EP "Interpol", that came out in the summer of 2002. It was followed by the first album, named "Turn On the Bright Lights", in August of the same year. The album's style is connected with past rock bands like Joy Division, The Smiths and Echo and the Bunnymen. Their second album "Antics", came out in 2004 and contained the hits "Evil", "Slow Hands" and "C'mere". The album became gold in both the USA and the UK, while the band toured for the second time, joining in several shows great bands such as U2 and The Cure.

The next album was 2007's "Our Love to Admire", including two singles and the song "Pioneer to the Falls" that was used in a Smallville TV-series episode. After the release of the band's self-titled album in 2010, it became known that Dengler wasn't a member of the band anymore. Various artists joined the band to their tours, which included two legs of U2 360° Tour, between 2010 and 2011. After Reading and Leeds Festivals of 2011, the band took a break for a couple of years. During that period, a special edition of the band's debut album came out in late 2012, to complete ten years after its release, while some of the members have been involved with various projects.

"El Pintor" was the band's next album, with Brandon Curtis's participation on keyboards, in almost the whole recording. The album peaked at the seventh place of the US charts, while its remixed edition came out in April of 2016. Over two years later, the band released their sixth studio album, named "Marauder".
