Incubus tickets & concert schedule

Incubus’ history began in 1991 in the city of Calabasas, California, when the schoolmates Brandon Boyd (vocals, percussion), Mike Einziger (lead guitar, keyboards) and José Antonio Pasillas II (drums), along with bassist Alex Katunich (known as Dirk Lance) decided to create a rock band. They began performing in clubs around the area of Sunset Strip and used to record their songs when they have free time.

Before the release of their first EP named “Let Me Tell Ya ‘Bout Root Beer”, Incubus recruited turntablist Gavin Koppell (known as DJ Lyfe) in 1995 and their first album came out in November of that year, under the name “Fungus Amongus”. After they made a new contract, they recorded one more EP and the album “S.C.I.E.N.C.E.” which came out in September of 1997. They toured next to bands like Korn, while Koppel was replaced by Chris Kilmore later. Incubus’ next album “Make Yourself” came out in October of 1999 and reached no. 47 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It contained the song “Drive” (no. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart) and became two times platinum later. The band continued touring including an appearance in 2000’s Ozzfest and after a small break, Incubus returned to the studio and recorded “Morning View”, which came out in 2001, reaching the second place on the album charts. It became also two times platinum and included the hit “Wish You Were Here”.

After a series of live appearances, Katunich left the group and Ben Kenney became the new bassist later. In the beginning of 2003, Incubus started dealing with their fifth album named “A Crow Left of the Murder…”, which came out in February of next year, peaking also at no. 2 on the US album charts. It was followed by an international tour and in 2005 the band cooperated with Brendan O’Brien for the release of 2006’ album “Light Grenades” which managed to reach the first position on the US album charts. Among its hits were the songs “Anna Molly” and “Love Hurts”. In 2008 Incubus toured around the world and shared the stage with bands such as Offspring, Duran Duran and Smashing Pumpkins, while they performed in several big fests.

Until 2017 Incubus released another two successful studio albums, as well as two compilation albums with 2009’s “Monuments and Melodies” to separate.
