Hozier tickets & concert schedule

Hozier grew up in the minority of the religious movement of Quakers along with his brother and studied music in Trinity College, after having finished school. He was born as Andrew Hozier-Byrne in 1990, in Bray, Ireland. He had started writing his own songs, from the age of 15. When he was studying in Dublin, he joined Trinity Orchestra, while he became a member of an Irish choir, for about three years. After his live appearances in the Oxegen Festival of 2009 and 2010, he continued as a soloist in the choir and toured with its members in several countries.

The first big success came with "Take Me to Church", which was included in the homonymous EP, which came out in the summer of 2013. This gospel song with pop and blues elements, along with its music video edition that is correlated with the violence against "LGBT" people, became viral and reached the top charts in many countries all over the world, while it became multiple times platinum. His second EP, "From Eden", contains the song "Cherry Wine", which was used in the film "Wish I Was Here".

Hozier's first album with the synonymous title, came out in September of 2014, including five singles. He appeared in two shows in 2015, singing "Take Me to Church". Firstly, in the Grammy Awards (along with Annie Lenox), where he had won a nomination for "Song of the Year" and then, in Billboard Music Awards. Later, in November of that year, he won the "VH1 Artist of the Year" award, while in the summer of 2016, his new song named "Better Love", was included in the "Legend of Tarzan" movie.

Almost two years later, Hozier released "Nina Cried Power", his fourth EP, which contains the homonymous song, featuring Mavis Staples and being inspired by Nina Simone and various other artists. His next album, came out in March of 2019, under the name "Wasteland, Baby!" and managed to top the US charts.
