Rock singer Diamante Azzura, who is known by her stage name as simply Diamante, was born in Boston in 1996. She has Italian and Mexican ancestry and her full name is Diamante Azzura Bovelli. She dealt with music from a young age when she began playing in small musical theater productions at school, while she met artists such as Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson when she moved to Los Angeles, at the age of thirteen.
In the following years, Diamante used to perform around the stretch of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, until she made her first contract and recorded her first songs which came out in 2013. Three of them entered at the top ten of the Billboard charts, with the song “Bite Your Kiss” to separate, reaching the third position. Diamante’s first EP was “Dirty Blonde” which came out in April of 2015, while she collaborated with All That Remains in the cover of Garth Brooks’ “The Thunder Rolls”, which entered at the Billboard Hot Rock Songs and Mainstream Rock charts. Diamante was featured in Bad Wolves’ song “Hear Me Now” and her debut album “Coming in Hot” came out in the summer of 2018 peaking at no. 12 on the US Heatseekers album chart.
Diamante and her band have attracted a lot of fans through their live performances, while she is regarded as a powerful and very energetic performer. The band’s sound is a mixture of glam metal and hard rock, with elements of punk and other rock genres.
