Car Seat Headrest tickets & concert schedule

The name "Car Seat Headrest" was firstly used by Will Toledo, a musician who started from Leesburg, Virginia, in 2010. Toledo, who also plays a lot of musical instruments, after releasing four albums with names the successive numbers, "1", "2", "3" and "4", he studied at Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2011, "My Back Is Killing Me Baby" came out, as a combination between the LP "5" and a previous EP with the name "Sunburned Shirts".

His next album, "Twin Fantasy", came out in 2011, being influenced by Toledo's relationship, during those years. This was the reason why the songs had been lengthened compared with previous albums. His next work was the 2012's album "Monomania" and one more EP. Almost one year later, "Nervous Young Man" came out in 2013, along with an extra collection, under the name "Disjecta Membra". Another EP, named "How to Leave Town" followed, in 2014.

Toledo went to live in Seattle in 2015 and after making a contract with a major label, he brought 2 other musicians to join him for recording his next album, Andrew Katz on drums and Jacob Bloom on bass. Their first work together was "Teens of Style" which came out in 2015 and was an album with songs from Toledo's previous work and only one new song. Soon after the release, Ethan Ives replaced Bloom, who followed his studies.

Ives dealt with more instruments and left the bass to Seth Dalby who joined the line-up later. Their next album, "Teens of Denial", came out in 2016, receiving good reviews globally. Headrest's most recent album is "Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)", that came out in February of 2018 and it is essentially a rework of their previous album, including several songs being recorded again or covered, such as "Beach Life-In-Death", "Twin Fantasy" and Smash Mouth's "Fallen Horses". The group continued with live appearances, being followed by the band Naked Giants.
