The British band Boston Manor was created in 2013 in the seaside resort of Blackpool, in Lancashire, North West England. The band consists of vocalist Henry Cox, guitarists Mike Cunniff (lead guitar) and Ash Wilson, bassist Dan Cunniff (Mike’s brother) and drummer Jordan Pugh. They began recording their own songs and then they used to tour in local venues in order to promote their name.
Their first release was the EP Here/Now which came out in the summer of 2013 and was followed by a split 7” single along with the group Throwing Stuff in the same year. Another two EPs followed, 2014’s “Driftwood” and 2015’s “Saudade” by two different label companies. Boston Manor finally recorded their debut album named “Be Nothing” which came out in September of 2016. Next year they released the single “Drowned in Gold” and finally, their second studio album came out in September of 2018, under the name “Welcome to the Neighbourhood”, entering at no. 80 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK.
Boston Manor continued performing around the UK, including acoustic shows, while they also supported the band Real Friends in their USA tour and they appeared in Japan for three live events. Their music style is something between pop punk and emo-pop, with punk rock elements.
