Behemoth tickets & concert schedule

Behemoth were created in 1991, in Gdańsk, by Adam Michał Darski (vocals, guitar), known as Nergal, Adam "Desecrator" Malinowski (guitar) and Adam Muraszko (drums), known as "Baal Ravenlock". Malinowski left the trio in 1992 and after a couple of changes in the group's formation, they released their first album named “Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic)” in April 1995.

The blackened death metal group continued with Leszek "Les" Dziegielewski as a new member and they recorded their second album “Grom” which came out at the beginning of 1996. They toured in Europe while Muraszko left the group during that year. Zbigniew Robert Promiński, known as “Inferno” became the new drummer in 1997 and their third album “Pandemonic Incantations” came out next year. It was followed by “Satanica” in 1999 and after that, there were a few changes to the line-up, including the arrival of Mateusz Maurycy Śmierzchalski, known as Havok. With the touring member Marcin "Novy" Nowak as the bassist, Behemoth recorded another two albums. “Thelema 6” came out in November of 2000 and entered at the Polish album charts (no.31). The group performed in various live shows and fests and they followed their first tour as headliners. 2002’s “Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond)” was the last album including Śmierzchalski and Nowak.

Behemonth started a tour in the USA in 2003, they continued playing also in Canada and returned to Europe for more live appearances. Tomasz Wróblewski, known as Orion, became the new bassist and the group released “Demigod” in October of 2004. The album received positive reviews and reached no. 15 in Poland. The next one “The Apostasy”, came out in 2007, peaking at no. 9 on the Polish charts, while it was their first which entered at the US album charts. Behemoth's fame led the group to take part in famous festivals like Ozzfest and to tour as headliners in the USA. After a live album and EP, the group’s next album “Evangelion” came out in 2009, topping the Polish charts.

Nergal faced leukemia in 2010 but he returned a year later. In the following years, Behemoth recorded another two studio albums. 2014’s “The Satanist” reached also no. 1 on the Polish charts, while “I Loved You at Your Darkest” which came out in October of 2018, peaked at the fourth position and reached no. 47 on the US Billboard 200.
